PROFESSION

Attorney at law at the Supreme Court, Ph. D., practicing law since June 1996.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

- In October 1994 I became a partner at the law office “Evangelos Chloupis & parnters’’, initially as a trainee lawyer and afterwards from June 1996 till the end of 2000 as a lawyer practicing on the general science of law, emphasing on merchant, penal, civil, marine and marine-elaborative law.

- In 2001, I set up my own law office, “Georgios D. Chloupis & partners, law office” located in Moschato-Αthens, collaborating with a team of efficient, highly qualified partners, practicing on the general science of law.

- Since 2005 I have been cooperating with the National Bank of Greece as a legal advisor in the field of housing credit.

- In August 2007 I was appointed legal advisor of IKA (Social Security Institute), at its branch office of I.K.A. E.T.A.M. (Piraeus).

-Since April 2014 I have been cooperating with the Orthodox Church of Greece, as a legal advisor in penal cases.

There have been numerous participations of mine, during the years, in a great deal of congresses, workshops and lectures both in Greece and abroad. Furthermore, I have also participated as a spokesperson, in a number of congresses in Greece as well as abroad.

As a spokesman, together with Prof. Dr. D. Spinellis, in an international congress in Germany (Frankfurt Oder), themed: “Formen der Kriminalitaet in den griechischen Land-und Seegrenzgebieten-Probleme und Loesungsvorschlaege” (Types of criminality within the Greek State and Greek territorial waters. Problems and suggestions).

1)As a spokesman, in a post-graduate seminar of criminal studies (sector of Criminology, sociology department of Panteion University), on 12th December 2005, themed “The senses of cross-border and transnational organized crime and ways of confrontation”.

2)As a spokesman, in a seminar, at the Athens Βar Association on 21th March 2005, organized by the Greek Association of Victimology, themed “Cross border victims, measures of protection”, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Aglaia Tsitoura and co-spokesmen Prof. Dr. Kalliopi Spinelli and mr. Emmanouel Andrianakis, President of the Association.

3)As a spokesman, in the Piraeus Bar Association lectures for lawyers and probationers. Subject of conversation “Victims of cross border crime and measures of protection. The case of trafficking”. The conversation took place at the Piraeus Bar Association on 25th September 2008.

4)As a spokesman in the Piraeus Bar Association lectures for lawyers and probationers. Subject of conversation: “Confronting the drugs problem. The Switzerland and Frankfurt case” The conversation took place at the Piraeus Bar Association (Bar), on 10th March 2010.

5)As a spokesman at Greek Police Academy. Subject of conversation: “The protection of human rights during the confrontation of transnational organized crime”. The conversation took place at the Police Academy, on 18th December 2012.

6) As a spokesman in a congress organized by the Local Council of Crime Prevention of municipality of Moschato-Tavros, on 24th April 2013. Subject of congress: “Intimidation of children in daily life and at schools”. Subject of conversation: “The role of Local Councils of Crime Prevention”. Coordinator of the congress: Prof. Dr. J. Farsedakis.

7)As a spokesman in Pnevmatiki Estia Moschatoy. Subject of conversation: “The victims of sexual exploitation and confrontation of this phenomenon”, on 28th November 2013.

8)As a coordinator in presenting scientific monograph of lawyer John Pitsirikos Ph.D., on “ Private Law Studies” on 06th February 2014. The author’ s book was presented by : John Karakostas , Vice Rector of Athens University, Emeritus Professor of the Law School of the University of Athens, Aristea Sinanioti - Maroudi, Professor of University of Piraeus, Cornelia Delouka - Inglessi Professor of University of Piraeus. The reports were published in Δικηγορική Επικαιρότητα“Dikigoriki Epikerotita”April- May-June 2014 , pages 17 et seq .

9)As a spokesman for a post-graduate seminar of criminology, of the sociology department of Panteion University, on 15th December 2014, entitled " The protection of human rights in addressing contemporary forms of criminal activity and in particular transnational organized crime".

10)As a spokesman on a three day criminological conference. Subject of conference "Crisis Crime and Law Enforcement System”, which took place in the Athens Bar Association hall , on 2th- 4th April 2015, during the 8th special session on " Organized Crime ". Subject of conversation: "the protection of Human Rights in addressing contemporary forms of crime and specially of transnational organized crime”.

11)As a discussion moderator in the capacity of vice president of the Local Crime Prevention Council of municipality of Moschato-Tavros, on 11th January 2016. Subject of conference: "The Police Neighbourhood", speaker: Prof. Dr. of Criminology Christina Zarafonitou.

12)As a moderator of a debate in the capacity of vice president of the Local Crime Prevention Council of municipality of Moschato-Tavros, on 13th April 2016. Subject of conference: "Refugee Children: journey to a better future", with speakers Eve Savvopoulou representative of the High Commissioner of the U.N. for refugees, representatives of EKPOSPO NOSTOS and Prof. Dr. Alexandra Androussou in Education Department of Early Age of Athens University.

13)As a spokesman, in a post-graduate seminar of criminal studies (sector of Criminology, sociology department of Panteion University), on 27th March 2017, themed “The Local Councils of Crime Prevention and relevant actions”.
